Lititz Christian Church

We believe in simple and pure devotion to Jesus Christ, our Lord...

...In relationship.

God says His Church is like a body. Each part is connected by joints and ligaments. Joined together in healthy relationships, the body of Christ works to do His will. We celebrate our relationships with Jesus and each other on Sundays. We also gather in small groups weekly to share and care for each other.

/files/HeaderImages/IMG_2928.JPG1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 27. For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it. NASB95

A church is not a building. It is a gathering of believers (I Corinthians 11:18). And wherever believers gather, Jesus is in the midst of it. (Matthew 18:20).

The unifying action of the Holy Spirit produces a single, living body (also called the church and the Bride of Christ). The church exists both as a single, unified body and as a group of individuals. As individuals, we listen to the Lord Jesus and live in fellowship and friendship with Him. In turn, we live in fellowship and friendship with other believers. These two actions together are essential for the each believer.

Each one of us is important to the proper working of the whole. Each of us has God-given gifts and ministries that the Lord (the Giver of the gifts) wants us to use so that the body as a whole is built up. For this reason, we advocate that believers let Jesus lead them to a local church of His choosing, so that they can be built up and that they can help build up Christ's body.

Hebrews 10:24,25. And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. NASB95

We have two gatherings during the week: a Sunday morning meeting and a week night meeting we call "house church."

God calls us to fellowship with one another for a variety of purposes: teaching, encouragement, fellowship, etc.

1 Corinthians 11:18. For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and in part I believe it. NASB95

Matthew 18:20. "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." NASB95
