Lititz Christian Church

We believe in simple and pure devotion to Jesus Christ, our Lord...

...In worship.

Our chief aim is to glorify God. As we follow the Holy Spirit, Who was sent to teach and guide us, He leads us through times of exultation, meditation, and prayer. We use a contemporary style and various instruments. We enjoy a freedom of expression that honors God. Our children are encouraged to actively participate in worship.

God loves us (I John 3:1). He created us (Genesis 1:27). He saved us (Romans 6:23). He sets us free from the things that enslave us (Hebrews 2:14,15). Our response to that love is worship. (Psalm 145:21)

Worship flows out of gratitude for what He has done. We acknowledge Him as Creator of the universe (Colossians 1:16), as Lord and Savior (II Peter 1:11), as Friend (John 15:15) and as our Provider (I Timothy 4:4,5). We speak of His wonders (Psalm 9:1). We speak His praise; we sing His praise. (Ephesians 5:19)

Worship is our response to Him as He speaks to us, touches us, leads us. It is part of our on-going and continuing relationship with Him.

In the Bible, a variety of instruments were used to worship God (Psalm 150:3-5). We follow that example in a contemporary manner. Our children are a gift from God to us. The children stay throughout the meeting. Jesus desires to bless the children. They are a model to us of how we are to come to our heavenly Father. (Mark 10:13-16). We are a model to them of how to respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:14)
